This will negate the need to press q more than once on a single model, as once you have click clone or pressed q on a model, it will be saved to a clipboard, and then you just need to press the paste hotkey in order to place it somewhere. This can be done multiple times, so you don't have to press q, place it, press q again on the model or pickup, place it again etc., you can just press q on model/other thing and then move cursor to place where you want it and press the past hot key, then if you want another one move your cursor to another place and press paste key again etc.

Is that really needed? A clone option sounds like an easier opportunity for me.

That has been already suggested. And yes. I think it is very necessary! Especially for games that are very detailed and have repetitive scenarios, such as a school, for example. Very good suggestion! Hopefully it can be done in some future, it would make things too easy for us!
