Stars are one of the many objects to set an objective for players to complete. the star requirement gives a good advantage to control player's progress in various events of the game and i'd like to suggest a new way to advance this pick up. my suggestion is to add star requirements to star pick up to open new possibilities to game creators.
imagine a few examples:
User made a western map where you complete missions by finding and claiming stars settled all around the map. but then he realizes that players can accidentally pick up a wrong star and wants to prevent it. the star requirement option gets added. boom, problem solved!
Or, another user developed a new checkpoint system for his racing game, but he realizes it wasn't developed for racing around the circle and checkpoint modifications are too hard to recreate. the star requirement option gets added. the project doesn't gets canceled.

I don't see the point in the western map example - creators should be able to do something to prevent that kind of scenario though an actual checkpoint system would be more interesting for the racing games - rather than piggy-backing on the requirement/stars
