Hey there guys. 30 years ago INK made a post in the Brazilian KoGaMa forum about re-shade in KoGaMa. Re-shade is a program that changes and adds some in-game effects that only you can see, most of them affect light ad stuff. So here i am to show some screenshot to you guys!
Well, this is the Arcane Bloom chad! Tadaaam! As you can see, we will have this option set for all the others options we'll be seing along this post.
How do i install these shaders?
If your computer sucks (Like mine), run this config. If it still running low on FPS, turn off FakeHDR.
If you want to see some extra effects or comentary to this post, check the Imgur album: imgur.com/a/I7IbGTy
Remember: The shaders only affect YOU. The shaders only work in standalone too.
I really hope you enjoyed! If you got any questions, i sure can awnser you here.

This is the default KoGaMa shaders. It looks really good, right?

Look how sunlight affect these walls with the Arcane Bloom. When we turn some other options on, this wall will look even better! Truly amazing!

This is the colorlab option. If you like colors, you should turn this on! It makes the game look really bright. We won't have this option turned on for the rest of the post, due to the brightness being... Too bright?
Colorlab also make the sun completely destroy my avatar, haha
This has some problems, tho... KoGaMa lighting is really weird. In this image, i'm in a closed space, and you can see the sunlight reflecting in this wall. But... How's the sun light reaching there...? This happens in the normal game too.

This is the Curves option. Just makes the lighting look a lot better. We'll being activating this option for the rest of the post.
DPX option. As you can see, makes lighting a little bit darker, fixing the exaggerated brightness of Arcane Bloom. We'll being activating this for the rest of the post too.
HDR on! Remember that i speaked about KoGaMa lighting being really weird in closed spaces, so some darker places looked really bright for no reason? This makes these darker parts look better, for some reason. Pay atention to the grass in the terrain, look how the sunlight is not strongly affecting some parts of it anymore. I really don't know how HDR works, you can search it up if you're interesed. This drops the FPS a lot, so keep an eye on that FPS counter! Also, we'll being activating this for the rest of the post.
HDR fix a lot of problems. Just look how this parts fits much better!
This is the LumaSharpen option, it makes things looks sharpen, some borders looks nicer too (You can see that in my avatar hair). I messed the configs up a little bit, just so you can see the effect in action. This is really a opinion-based, i don't quite like it, but i can understand if this really change the game for you.
DELC_Sharpen! This makes the textures look AWEASOME!
Here are some screenshots of how lighting affects in game objets and can bring sensations for the player. This is a map i made to test this lighting stuff (Yeah, i don't make these weird games for nothing...)
Different from the other one, that made the player felt safe comfortable in all places, this little area that has the orange light makes the players feel safe and warm. Like a safe area in a horror map!
Night really looks aweasome! Note that the HUD looks really weird in these screenshots, but belive me, in game, those looks really good.
How do i install these shaders?
It is actually pretty easy!
- Download Reshade
- Run Reshade setup.
- Click the big button named "Click here to selecet a game[...]"
- Now, click "Browse"
- Go to C:\Users\[YOURUSER]\AppData\. You can also press Windows key + R and type %AppData% to go to this directory.
- Now, go to the KoGaMa folder you want the shaders to run in (KoGaMaLauncher-Friends, KoGaMaLauncher-BR or KoGaMaLauncher-WWW).
- In the KoGaMaLauncher folder, go to \Launcher\Standalone and select "kogama.exe"
- Click the "OpenGL" option
- Now you'll see a bunch of things you can check. Check all of them, and click "Ok"
- Now, you'll see a page full of things you can check again. Check all of them.
- Again, you'll see another page. Check all things again.
- Keep checking all things and clicking "Ok" until you see a page where some things are checked and some are not. Just click "Ok" without checking anything in this page.
- If no other page to things to check apears, the setup is completed! Just open KoGaMa again!
- Now, if you see a grey bar in the KoGaMa loading page, it is done!
- Press the "Home" button to open the menu. You can read the tutorial if you want, mess with the configs too.
- Now, you just check the effects that you want in! Done!
- If you want to uninstall, run the reshade setup again and select the uninstall option.
If your computer sucks (Like mine), run this config. If it still running low on FPS, turn off FakeHDR.
