Rapid Cloning
Even the clone hotkey (Q) doesn't really help too much when it comes to having to build an invisible floor or wall, or anything else that requires repetitive cloning.
Here's how it currently works:
1) Click to select an object
2) Press Q to clone the object
3) Move the new object
4) Left-click to place the object
5) Click again to select the object
6) Press Q to clone the object
7) Move the new object
8) Left click to place the object
Here's how it could, and should, work:
1) Click to select an object
2) Press Q to clone the object
3) Move the new object
4) Press Q to place and immediately clone the object
5) Move the new object
6) Left-click to place the new object ... or press Q to place and clone it again
At the end of either set of steps, you should have 3 objects (including the original). But notice that by the end of the suggested method, you took only 6 steps rather than 8 (and if you end by pressing Q instead of clicking, you'll have a 4th unplaced object). By the current system, it takes four steps to clone an object one time and place it, whereas by the suggested one, once you get started, it's merely two steps to clone, place, and clone again (press Q, move, press Q). It's fast, efficient, and slightly reduces your chances of developing tendonitis.
Hotkey Clone after Right Click
This one's less substantial and less awesome, but still worth noting. When you left click an object and press the delete key, it vanishes. When you right click an object and press the delete key, it vanishes. When you left click an object and press Q, you clone it. When you right click an object and press Q ... nothing happens. Nothing. Not-a-thing. See what I'm saying here? It's inconsistent.
Group Clone
Now this one's pretty obvious, so much so it was an actual feature until BerickCook made it publicly known that it existed (by means of shift-clicking stuff), and proceeded to report glitches. (That is, you could move stuff in groups, but you couldn't clone it.) From there, it got quietly removed (you know, after the devs assured us the feature wasn't a secret and was known all along ... just not by players). Naturally, we need some new and improved implementation of group selection, even as far as indefinitely grouping items for easy movement, cloning, and deletion. It's been suggested plenty of times since the old days in many variations, so you really don't need me to rehash this suggestion further.
In the end, I don't expect much -- not anything, actually -- but I do hope that y'all at least consider the whole rapid cloning thing.
