So as many of you know, I have left the community exactly 5 months ago and have not returned up until now. The reason can still be viewed in the discord server, and I honestly have not changed my mind since then. I still do not condemn what gets accepted among the community, all while I got pushed out for the most minor mistakes without even realizing I "presumably" hurt others, going so far that they have then been demonized to a massive level just to be used against me without even giving me a single bit of time to defend myself, which is quite literally comparable to Twitter's cancel culture, but hey, that's not the point of my message, so let's get to what I was meaning to say.
What I want to say is I might make a very short-lived return, only to push out 1 final project which will take months to finish due to other priorities such as my job or hobbies being in the way as well. What comes after that is unknown, although I most likely lean to leaving once again, this time without any signs of return. However, I will avoid interacting with the community for the most part due to its growing toxicity and overall unwelcoming atmosphere, which is real shame. Before you want to defend yourself, yes I know that not everyone is that way and I don't want to generalize the entire community as bad. I know a fair share of good people are among the community, and I won't protest that in any way, yet there are still a lot of toxic people, some even that have a very major influence in the community (I won't drop names) that just destroy just about many things I used to enjoy about the game, and that negative side grew so big for me that it outweighs the good aspects. I moved on to other communities and not only do I not want to return to this community, but I have the feeling I also have no place here anymore. I had my glory days, I accomplished most of my goals, so I won't even bother gathering more attention and influence anymore.
tl;dr: I return to finish one project, won't join the community and might permanently leave after finishing said project.
That is all for now. Thanks for taking the time to read all of this, and have a pleasant day.

Tell me, do you play KoGaMa for the the building playing.. or the community (in this case including clans). I had a long talk with you once over discord, You are a very social person. What i really want to know is though, Did you have fun while in the KoGaMa community? Anyways, there are lots of flaws with the KDS (and Im not salty i was rightfully banned, that appeal doe If you felt isolated or demonized that is not (in my opinion) representative of the KDS moderators opinions. I could type the details of why the KDS is flawed, etc. You already have opinions though and know this all to well. One more question, I wasnt there to witness what had happened and what you leave, please explain the events in a timeline order P O O R L Y W O R D E D, but you get the point

I left back in January and a few weeks ago I also considered leaving permanently after coming back to finish a project that I started long ago, "Slime Slime" but after I came back to finish it, I continued to remember how much KoGaMa and especially how long I've been on KoGaMa for means to me so I just decided to stay once again. It is completely understandable, I know how you feel. There are in fact some pretty toxic parts of the KoGaMa community. For one thing, personally I don't plan on ever moderating on the Discord server again... there's still a lot of graphic images/videos stuck in my mind that people have either posted on there early in the AM or through my DMs that I had to view to take action on as part of that job. I'm sure you had to deal with some of that as well at points... You're a great guy Ab, you've been through a lot of things in your life which a lot of people haven't taken the time to realize your past and how it affected your character, and/or they just don't know about the things that you've been through.
The way I especially look at it is you don't have to care as much about the community to enjoy building what you want on KoGaMa. I've been through my fair share of people cyberbullying me about what I would build and how terrible of a builder I was at the time (early 2013) and even though I'd cry when logging into KoGaMa and considering giving up and leaving, I continued to build whatever I wanted. Consider cutting out those you don't like in the community and continuing to use KoGaMa as a creative tool. Focus on those who are great friends to you and support you. Sure there'll be those who will scoff and harass at you for what you do on KoGaMa, but nothing feels better than cutting out the haters and ruling your own world.
Also, I bet some day, even if you leave you may consider working on something new in KoGaMa. I've left a few times in the past such as from 2016-2018 due to a lack of updates and especially because the US/Friends server community was declining a bit. Throughout most of 2017 I forgot all about KoGaMa and lived my life. I came back in summer 2018 to see a bunch of new stuff to play around with in build mode. So really, you never know.

I really only stay on KoGaMa because of my friends, Im not very active on the KDS (especially because I was banned for 10 months) I dont have many other online friends. I wish i could relate to your experiences, but yeah Its so hard to leave a community and game like this,

And to answer your question: Yes, and no. There are definitely some times I really cherish, especially the 2014-2015 and the 2018-2019 era, where I easily had the most fun time, but around the beginning of 2020, things started to feel off and honestly also went downhill from there on. There is enough evidence to cover that there's a part of the OKDS moderation team that they treat others unfairly, especially among each other. I can't tell how it is now, but it has been like that since 2020 in the time I was a mod. As for the events, I prefer not going in detail. If you have seen my leaving note from November, which, I think, I shared in the general-2 channel, that and this thread should tell the entire story by itself. I appreciate your concern, and definitely wish that at least you have a fun time in the community.

Totally understand why you don't want to return to server moderation and I get what you mean. For me it's not just server moderation in OKDS, but just in general, partially also for the reasons you brought up. And thanks. You're an amazing guy as well, most of the time all around optimistic and sociable, very friendly and a guy that, in my opinion, many people should look up to. The community is one part of the reason behind my leaving. The other part is that besides of the project I simply don't have much interest left for the game and have been more invested into playing other games, namely some Fire Emblem games, lots of Minecraft and, especially now with the new DLC out, The Binding of Isaac, and I think I'll be busy enough with these 3 games as well as some other games I own, but have not yet tried out. Basically, I have contact with all the people I cared (and still care) about from KoGaMa on other platforms, mostly on Discord, and I still spend time with some of them, whether it's by chatting or playing games together. I get what you mean, and I appreciate that you are trying to be supportive, but I already am in my "own world", and I'm havin' a good time for sure. Whether I TRULY leave permanently is something I can very likely, but not 100% confirm. Only time will tell, I suppose.
