In a multiverseblog.weebly.com/ blog by Multiverse Aps about 3 years ago They mention a cosmetic competition which had 17 winners, all of them where back accessories. However, only 2 of them have actually been put in game, and I cant even confirm this number since they arent the exact artist depictions.
Mulitverse Aps says
¨A major milestone in our roadmap is monetization improvements¨
This is True, and they have been working at really hard the past few years, with Elite, cosmetics, buying gold.
They Want to improve the KoGaMa economy so the game becomes more profitable.
They say, ¨One step in our roadmap was removing free gold from ads and playing games, another step is the Item Shop overhaul.¨
Obviously, this was from 3 years ago and much of this has been envisioned. There seems to be a sudden halt in working towards that goal though.
There has been less and less additions to the shop and still, not many people are spending their gold on cosmetics.
The Ultimate goal was: Make Gold more valuable, Begin selling gold, Make people spend more gold, People Buy more gold with real currency.
Unfortunately, the last part doesn't actually seem to be happening.
Lets test my theory, Im gonna go to multiple games, and look at multiple accounts.
Im gonna count how many people I see with cosmetics in game, and then look at accounts. If I find more accounts with cosmetics created in 2018-19 than 2020-21 We can Assume that there has been a slowdown in shop activity.
OBVIOUSLY this is flawed for two reasons: We cant tell when people bought the cosmetics, and older accounts tend to be richer.
So Ill be looking at when their last activity was, and how much gold they have.
IN GAME TEST:
people with cosmetics: 7
People without cosmetics: 75
(excluding cosmetics obtained through level)
Over 5 Games and 80 players (79 without me)
The game with the least Cosmetic users was: KoWaRa | PvP + Oculus | With none
The game with the most was Exelartatores ´The Elevator´ | With 3/14 players
Now Lets do the other test. Im going to choose 10 accounts from each background (18-19) & (20-21)
(20-21) Players with Cosmetics:-3/10
(09-19) Players with Cosmetics:6/10
Of the 09-19 players, 4 with cosmetics were rich,
Of the 20-21 players, 3 with cosmetics where rich
(rich> popular game & more than 500 gold or 1000+ gold)
(popular game> +1000 plays)
From our Data, we can see of the 5 ¨rich players¨ from both groups, they both tend to have cosmetics.
All of the players with cosmetics from the 20-21 group were ¨rich¨
While a bit more than half of 09-19 players were ¨rich¨
There was no signigicant level difference in ¨rich players¨ in both groups.
USING THIS DATA WE CAN INFER TWO THINGS: THE SALES OF COSMETICS IS IN DECLINE
LESS AND LESS GOLD IS BEING SPENT ON COSMETICS
NOT THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE PURCHASING COSMETICS OR SPENDING GOLD IN GENERAL.
Obviously there are way more ways to spend your gold in KoGaMa, but this is the most expensive one.
During my Data only 2 (20-21) players had more than 5 avatars. While for (09-19) players, there were 5.
I also noticed there were not a significant amount of avatars that could be bought from the shop present.
I cannot confirm the number, because I dont know if they were custom made or not. However, it is very easy to tell the difference.
In the same blog post, Multiverse Aps stated how: ¨With a solid 3,7 million monthly users worldwide, an investment from Nordisk Film, and company expansion of new talents, 2018 is going to be an exciting year where Multiverse ApS aims to accelerate its international growth.¨
This aim was mostly met, in 2018 KoGaMas Popularity was at an all time low since 2015. And thanks to all these new features and investment into the game from the developers, KoGaMas growth was rapid for most of 2019.
It didnt last for long though.. Its popularity growth slowed, and it was even less popular than in 2018s worst month. This would quickly end, but It was still headed downward. Then the Coronavirus pandemic hit. KoGaMa spiked in popularity now that people were at home. Again though, as the pandemic began to end with the development of a vaccine, KoGaMas popularity plunged.

According to Google Trends, KoGaMa is about to hit a new record low (since 2015)
Now, I want to Investigate why production of accessories halted, what happened, and most importantly, why did this power development suddenly stop?
PART 1
Overall, KoGaMa has become more profitable, but as of right now, It is probably becoming less profitable, as less people spend money, and less people play the game.
Id also like to add: Im big dumb. Im not the best person to be talking about this, to survey data, or give you advice.
Always question data, how it was surveyed, when it was surveyed, and backgrounds. I personally think Im trustworthy & all of this data was done by me without interference from anyone else. I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY IF I GAVE YOU WRONG INFORMATION
> I DID NOT ESTIMATE ANY DATA, CREATE FAKE DATA, OR MANIPULATE NUMBERS
