Today we're announcing a brand new competition! We want you to create an amazing obstacle course filled with Wipeout-like challenges for players to enjoy.
Rules You must post a comment to this news feed with a link to your project! Your project must have been released after this date. Pre-made projects are not eligible. Your project must include at least one blueprint You're more than welcome to team up with your friends. All project members will receive the same rewards.
How do we pick the winners? It's quite simple, the winner will be the game with the most amount of plays by July 15

Didn't we have a discussion about competition judging parameters like a year ago? I think it was determined that no matter what we do, we'll end up finding some way it can be exploited or some reason it's unfair.
I think the brighter point to take away from having a building competition is that people will be generating new content, regardless if they think they'll win or not. More content -> more activity -> happier community. At least that's how I think about it.
Even if players did want to exploit it to increase their chances of winning... more activity on the front page would generally mean people are probably going to join a game more often. Since earlier published games have the advantage, maybe people will collaborate to build something faster. I dunno, sounds like people are playing the game. That's ad revenue for the devs, activity for the community, something for somebody... wins all around.
