Okay. I approached the big crystal in player mode, and when I touched it, immediately pressed the letter ''P'' 4 times in a row. This caused the amount of crystals that the large crystal had to give me to restart. Then I picked up a small crystal so you could see that the crystal count had really restarted.
Then I repeated the same procedure, but since I didn't have a small glass nearby so you could see the difference again, I had to clone it and touch it, in the same way you could see for the second time that the amount of accumulated crystals had restarted.
Sorry if the video shows a lot of lag, but I don't have a very good computer.

I wouldn't consider that a bug, it makes sense to me that it resets when you enter edit mode. Thanks for reporting it, though!
