So I think swimming in this game is pretty boring and stays generally out of the question when designing games (although that new option of insta kill water is pretty cool), so I came up with some suggestions:
1. Liquid materials: Materials that, as the name suggests, are not solid, so you might expect (and should be able to) swim through them just like traditional water, however, just like traditional materials, you are able to build structures, models and avatars with them. Ideally, these could make for very creative structures like pools at different heights, fountains or even some parkour mechanics!
The water block should be the standard liquid, maybe lava or other stuff could be added as well; but I don't know if the way this game is coded may be problematic to implement transparent materials, so if no transparency was possible it would be a shame, but just working like liquids would be enough for me.
2. New swimming mechanics: Lets face it, swimming in this game is absolutely boring; aside from getting back to whatever part of the map you fell off, most of the times you might want to avoid swimming at all because it's slower and clunky, and I mean it! Why is swimming just random hopping like I was playing happy bird?
3. Bring back water reflections!!!
