I felt the need to talk about build limitations of avatars and models. This topic has barely been in mention and explanations have been poor. I and probably many more users would appreciate an update regarding the extension of the current build limitations:
Why would a build limit extension be appropriate?
The current build limitations (especially those of avatars) are, in my opinion, too cramped. Their current extent severely limits the potential avatars and models could otherwise have. Many users rely on 3rd party cheating software in order to bypass the build limitations to finalize their work according to their expectations. Much popular and beautiful content on the platform could only get their image that way (Like how could one put appropriately sized wings on their avatar within a just 8 cubes wide box?).
Extending the current build limitations would open up many new possibilities, satisfy many creators and hopefully discourage a bunch of users from using cheats.
How should the build limitations be extended?
Many users would have their own view on this. I suggest the following:
For Avatars:
Shift each plane of build limitation of
1.
a) the back of the body part,
b) both the left and right side of the body part,
at least +10 cubes outwards from its current extent,
2.
a) the bottom of the body part,
b) the bottom of the head part,
down to the bottom plane of the feet (At drawplane height -1),
3.
All sides of the head part excluding its bottom side,
at least +2 cubes outwards from its current extent.
Thus the build limitation of the body-part would be extended to a size of
28x10x18 cubes,
and that of the head part would in this case be extended to a size of
12x17x12 cubes,
from their original size of 8x8x8 cubes.
For Models:
This one is going to be a bit simpler. I suggest doubling the length of each dimension, extending the size to 48x48x48 cubes from the original size of 24x24x24 cubes for each of the three model-sizes.
I'd be grateful if you consider implementing these changes one day! Feel free to submit your suggestions and tell me your opinion down below.
