Why is one of my friend's profile has a server error screen?

I was playing one of my games and I couldn't join the build and was stuck and the loading screen. I could only my other projects. In fact it almost seems like when I invited my friend, it showed an error. Oddly enough, when I went to my friend's profile it said server error or something like that. My friend made an alt account and told me he couldn't log in. Any ideas?
