As you can tell by the title, there are weapons. That need to be nerfed. Now. Please? c:
So there's the Bazooka. It's very, very common in war games. In fact, it has become so common, it's almost the only weapon that will ever be used. But I think it's because of how fast it is, along with the damage it creates. All I want is for it to have a slower rate of fire. The spam from the bazooka is too overpowered. I mean come on, it's a weapon with almost machine-gun firerate (this is kind of an exaggeration lmao) that can 1-shot you each hit. Either nerf the damage or nerf the speed.
Then there's the Sword. It. Is. Bad. The only time it is good is if you have a speed boost. I would like it to have more range, and slightly less knockback. It's nearly useless against anything because you can almost never hit anyone unless they have a sword too.
Tis' all. Just want slightly less broken battles in kogama.

Coincidentally, a few days ago Daniel mentioned that they possibly would be revisiting KoGaMa's combat system. He was also looking for some feedback on the matter. Addressing some of the current issues might be helpful in looking at what can be improved. So, aside from some balancing issues and the connectivity issues regarding weapon accuracy, what are some other problems that frustrate you with current PVP? Also, you could also include suggestions on what you think would improve the current system. Some of the somewhat popular suggestions that have come up in the past were: - Ability to customize weapons' appearance and properties.
- Adjustable camera distance, potentially first person perspective.
- Larger assortment or variety of weapons.
- Personalized perk or ability system to give certain weapons more depth.

So far just the sword and bazooka, lol. They need to have a serious re-balance. But I would really enjoy if these suggested features were implemented, they would make combat much, much better, and we've all wanted them for such a long time. I hope some day, they do get implemented in the future.

Jatsu is right about this. We'll see how much time I have the next few weeks, but I might get permission to revamp combat. One of the things I'd like to introduce (Keep in mind I haven't discussed this with the others, so there's a very good chance it wont happen!!) is two functions per weapon. One for left click and one for right click
For instance, with the bazooka the left click function would be to launch a rocket and the right button function would be to destroy it mid-air. Center gun could have alternate fire-rates using the right mouse button
Do you have any other suggestions in this vein?

It should have a strong mode, which does more knockback, and goes much slower, or fast mode, which has less damage and knockback, but goes alot faster. The strong mode makes it bigger, and the fast mode makes it smaller. The modes can be changed with right click, and the swapping has a 30 second cooldown. Honestly, swords were (are, as of this post) kind of useless in battle. Impulse guns. Right click makes it lauch orbs that pull the player in, and then push them shortly after. This might be kinda hard to make, but it would be pretty neat. Shotguns. Right click launches more projectiles, and uses more ammo. Railgun. Right click zooms in. Sometimes, I want to use it with or without the zoom in some situations. I've never actually thought of making right click a function for weapons, and it seems like a really cool idea that I would love to see implemented some time in the future.

Regarding the impulse orbs, wouldn't it be cooler if they traveled kind of like in Portal, and pushed people away as they got close to them? Or would you rather have it be so when the orb collides with someone, they are pushed outwards a bit and then rapidly inwards, thus killing them on impact? I guess kind of like the sweet Battlefront grenade

Really I feel like the sword is kind of OP because it never runs out and the bazooka not as OP for the same reason, you only get 10 shots. But I agree, it is still too powerful because it can one shot you but unlike railgun and shotgun there is no precision involved. in my opinion it's the game creator's job to balance out weapons, such as in my game KoGaMa Battle Camp *Shameless Pug*
But here is my idea for an upgrade system. Maybe after you get a pickup, if you wait for it to reappear and then grab it again, it will upgrade it, and you can set separate prices for each upgrade with game coins. Since most have 2 upgrades here, it could be branched but that may not work well with battle games. Oh, yeah, and my idea for when you stand near a pickup that has been picked, a bar appears showing how long until it respawns would work well with that
Center Gun can be upgraded to shoot automatically with faster bullets and possibly more ammo. Shotgun now has only 20 ammo because it makes more sense, but can be upgraded to have a more focused shot and faster reload. Sword has many changes. Now has more range, less knockback, and comes with a shield. It has durability now too, successful blocks and hits will lower it. It does a lot more damage. The upgrade gives even more range with a sweeping attack, and more damage, possibly more durability. Flamethrower can be upgraded to have blue fire which has slightly more range and leaves behind patches of fire that linger for a bit Multi Throwing Star now has 20 ammo but firing 5 counts as 1 like shotgun. To make throwing stars unique, every time you hit someone, the next shot will do more damage, even if it is not in a row or if they heal afterwards. The upgrade makes them explode in a small puff of smoke, doing a little bit of damage. Railgun's upgrade makes it charge faster and have a slightly larger laser. Bazooka missiles will gradually decelerate now if they go on for a long time. The upgrade makes it not lose speed and also heat seeking, but it has a limited ability to turn. Annoyance's pushing orbs would work well for this upgrade, but it really isn't necessary since impulse gun isn't really a weapon, you can't earn direct kills with it.

Just because it "doesn't contain ammo" doesn't necessarily mean that that it's more OP than the bazooka. When it comes to sword vs range, range wins almost literally every time. The only real upside is the decent damage and the knockback. The bazooka is the most frequently picked weapon because you can hold left click and spam it, instantly killing everything in site. The ammo doesn't even matter at all considering how destructive it is. Also, I disagree with the durability thing. This isn't minecraft or DS2. However, with the shield, if you take too many hits, you become shield broken and can't move for 1 second. In regards to your upgrades, they seem far too underpowered for their own good. In fact, some of these upgrades seem like downgrades, and a few of these changes are unnecessary. 1. Throwing star was not powerful at all to begin with, and now you have made it even less powerful by greatly reducing the amount of ammo it takes. If anything, it needs better accuracy. 2. What benefit would the larger laser have other than being... Bigger? 3. You seem to be making the powerful capabilities even more powerful. With this upgrade, we might as well toss all the rest of the weapons in the trash considering how powerful this is. If this were in any game, nobody would pick any other weapon over the bazooka, 4. THE IMPULSE EXPLOSIONS ARE FUN, SHUT UP! D=

I made throwing star better because it now has 100 ammo, but it is counted like shotgun. The bigger laser would be so you don't have to be as accurate. Plus I'm not sure if upgrades would even work, if they can I'd rather they fix current pickups instead of adding all these upgrades. The things I want the most are auto fire for center gun, more focused shot for shotgun, shield maybe smash bros style, throwing star ammo counted the same way as shotgun, and why does shotgun have 24 ammo anyway seems arbitrary. Heat seeking would be cool but it's not like you need it considering that it's already a ranged attack with area of effect.

I would rather have the pickups fixed and have a right-click special ability. It just seems to fit more and would probably be easier to create, and more fun to use. I do, however, like your flamethrower, sword with shield, and shotgun ideas. The heat seeking effect should just be a weapon of itself, maybe a missile/mortar type weapon in a possible update.

It's here that we have a nice chat about the combat system? well i just going to put here my suggestion about 3 white weapons and 1 more suggestion in the same link, ( even one of the three weapons is pratically hard to add)

Not sure what to do with the whip, but it would be a pretty neat weapon to have.
