Steps to reproduce???
I really don't know how to reproduce this. Exelaratore said he was AFK for a half hour, but the website was saying he was offline instead of showing yellow text. Even the portrait was grayed out, and it showed an actual time since online. But when he came back and moved in the game, his portrait turned active again.
This is the second time I've seen it now since yesterday. The first time it happened was with Johnny Kayson's avatar staying in a project but him having gone off for an hour. But for that time, he must have closed the game already, because he left and rejoined when he came back online.
I mean, the best I can do to exploit offline activity while still playing a game is to log out in a separate tab -
1. Join a game.
2. Open a separate tab for Kogama
3. Click cogwheel, choose "Logout"
4. Go back to game.
-> You would still be in the game session, but other players would see you offline from the website. The website will spam "Login required" in a blue box, but you'll still be able to play the game as your own self. And other players joining the game can still see you in it too.
So... I don't know what this is. I'm reporting a possible bug and a exploit. Or a bug and a bug if you think you should be kicked from the game once the website is told to log you out.
Edit:
I found another 500 Internal Server Error right after reporting this. If you try to logout of the website through two separate tabs, the second attempt will lead you to this page - us.kogama.com/auth/logout/ (or you can just click this link twice)
1. Login to Kogama
2. Open your profile page in a new separate tab
3. Click on cogwheel, choose "Logout"
4. Go back to first tab
5. Click on cogwheel, choose "Logout" again
-> 500 Internal server error
Double Edit:
When I logged out, it brought me to a page that was translated in Portuguese. I didn't touch the languages so I don't understand why this happened. I tried it a second time and it brought be to the same page but correctly translated in English like it was supposed to be. It was the same page, us.kogama.com/ , but they were translated differently for some reason... even though I didn't change anything in between logouts.
Triple Edit:
I figured it out. I visited the BR server earlier today, and in order to do that you have to go through the language links. So, going to the servers keeps the languages correct, but once you logout, the website translates everything into the last language you visited. I tested this with others, and this seems to be 100% the case.
1. Log on to US server, make sure you're in English
2. Open languages, choose any non-English ones
~~~ You should get sent to a new page that might be in English, but this doesn't matter. You do not need to log in, just follow next step ~~~
3. Use your browser's "back" button to go back to the page you were on before
4. Click on the cogwheel, and choose "logout"
-> You should see the login page translated in whatever language you chose from step 2. Since we're on the US server, your language is automatically in English, there's nothing you can do to change this. But if you repeat all these steps for the EU server, your last language choice is kept when you're logged in too.
Quadruple Edit:
Ok, now the same offline glitch is happening with PMs for me. I've been talking to an apparently "offline" Peaceful Player for the past half hour. He's sending me messages, I'm sending him messages, and he went offline "29 minutes ago". I've been refreshing the page, going to other pages, and he is still showing as offline! So... what is going on? This is driving me mad. :/
... Sorry for editing this all into one post. They're all related to the website at least.
