Hello KoGaMians!
Did you know there is a place where you can interact with your fellow KoGas and play in real time? You didn’t? Well there is; it’s the KoGaMa Discord Server. Our lively community recently turned one year old and is growing by the day. The KoGaMa Discord server provides a place for all KoGas to interact with other KoGas from across the world through both text and voice channels and with a vigilant widespread moderation team to ensure that the KDS is a safe place for everyone. What is Discord?
In case you didn’t know, Discord is a communication service like Skype or Teamspeak that allows users to speak to another user in realtime without the need of static forum posts. Why should I join?
KDS is the only network congregating the amount of KoGaMa users that it does. Our collective network has seen over 500 users join, a number that continues to grow every day. Who maintains the server?
A team of dedicated administrators and moderators who all come from the community are always here to keep KDS a safe place and to assist you upon request. Is this server strictly for KoGaMa?
Much like the forum, there is off-topic conversation alongside relevant topics. We have an ample amount of channels to fit anyone’s interests ranging from #KoGaMa-projects to #cats. Our ultimate goal is to build a sprawling community both friendly and large enough for Discord to justify partnering with our server thus bringing a considerable amount of publicity to both our community and KoGaMa as a whole. I like it, but I don't want to run all the time discord in the background.

I like it, but I don't want to run all the time discord in the background. You don't have to, you have the option to close it at any time or disable it from running on startup. If your concern is with notifications, there are many options to avoid getting a constant flow of notifications. You can mute the server, or go into your notifications settings and configure it as you please.
