Browser link:aboutmybrowser.com/bsQFcjQPExample image:Steps to reproduce:1. Build a normal block on horizontal drawplane 2. Focus on 4 edges, wrap them around the block until you get a broken texture ( example image if you're lost) 3. Flip the top and bottom faces - move the top face down 3 ticks, the bottom face up 4 ticks, and the top face down the last tick 4. Pick any side face, click on it 3 times to spawn an illegal block 5. Click on any part of the illegal block - corner, edge, or face - to spawn a new illegal block Log thingy:Attachment DeletedResult:Blocks that turn invisible after refresh. You can use them to make models invisible and cheat the block limits of models. Here's a list of stuff that happens! - Blueprint models can be invisible but still work - jetpacks, hovercars, turrets
- Moving platforms end up being two red dots and no platform to collide with
- If you "edit model" a blueprint with no model, you can clone and attach multiple blueprints to itself. They move as a whole!
- [CRASH POINT] From the previous item, if you clone a new blueprint from an original, and delete the original with the clone still there, the game will no longer load next refresh! - the only safe way to delete it is to delete the whole thing, outside of "edit model".
- You can detach a blueprint from its blue circle graphic in "edit model", making jetpacks perfectly invisible
- You can make avatars smaller - see my chicken avatar with no head part! - it's a whole block shorter than normal
- [CRASH POINT] If you delete all legal blocks in an avatar part, you can't load any game - not even the avatar editor to fix it! You get stuck on "loading avatar snapshot"

I hope the crashing issues get fixed, but I really enjoy experimenting with this type of stuff. We outta keep the Illegal blocks glitch, or lessen the player model block # requirements.

Thanks for the in-depth report. I'll definitely take a hard look at this tomorrow!

I agree with Codrew's comment, I love this exploit simply because of the new possibilities for improved creativity it brings. ex. My Cupcake avatar!

I'm afraid to report that the illegal block issue probably will not be kept. Although it's not up to me and it's not my decision, I personally consider this a major block. The thing is, using the illegal blocks you're able to corrupt your avatar. You can get to a state where the corrupted avatar will keep you from connecting to any session what so ever, which is a problem since your entire account essentially becomes corrupted. Imagine having a ton of gold and silver and suddenly not being able to play. Thankfully I found out that it's possible for us to fix it through some admin stuff. So if you do know of someone who encounters this issue, please tell them to contact me as soon as possible. The fastest way to reach me is by mailing me at danieleverland@gmail.com - I'll fix their account as soon as I see the mail, which will probably be within a few hours of them sending it. Once again though, I'd like to make the point that it's in no way up to me. It may very well stay. I can't say for sure so take what I said with a grain of salt

So basically, we should make all the cool interpretative art avatars while we still have the chance.

Lol The glitch works fine if you understand how to use it. If you do not delete the main source blocks the game will not crash, you just have to hide it. In the head of my newest avatar, the source block is hidden my my top hat. you can actually see it from below in-game.

I wouldn't dare building anything else with illegal blocks. The fix might include deleting current illegal cubes since they're the source of the corruption. Once again, I'm just speculating

I don't think the illegal cubes are "saved" after the session ends. For one, they become invisible and you can build over them in the next session. But say you build 100 illegal blocks in a model that has a min limit of 20. You delete enough legal blocks to have 1 left in the model, 19 below the min limit. If you refresh and go back to it and try to delete that last legal block you won't be able to even though 100 illegal blocks existed in it in the previous session. As to corruption of the account, yeah, I experienced that first hand. I tried deleting all the legal blocks in parts in the head of my avatar and after I exited I wasn't able to enter any game, even the avatar editor to fix it. The loading screen would always get stuck on "Loading Game Snapshot" and the log report spammed large blocks of errors like in the CubeGun bug log I reported in another post. 4 days later of being stuck out of game, I asked Nara if there was anything he could do, and he reset my avatar with his admin powers. When I asked Nara if there was anything he could do about the other crash point I mentioned in OP, that you can cause a project to never load again by deleting the original blueprint object while in "edit model", he said he couldn't do anything about it. So this kind of corruption can't be fixed, at least not by him anyway. Daniel, if you have the ability to reset projects back to their initial state, that would probably fix it though. Anyway, thanks for addressing the bug/exploit! I know a lot of people are enjoying it, and maybe it shows that players can handle less restrictive block limits for models. But I also reported this in hopes that the building editor be updated since it hasn't received a major update in a long time. Who knows... maybe fixing this would also squash out the symmetry bug too!

Yay The devs are back in the community Ahem.... Ya this is a pretty serious glitch, but I like it. I hope in the fix there could be an update allowing better avatar editing? Perhaps, able to delete all cubes but one? But, only be allowed to publish with say 20? You know so someone doesn't spawn in game as like 6 blocks Xd

Once again, I'm just speculating I have one avatar in which the use of Illegal blocks has been used, should I edit the avatar to make it clean from the use of illegal blocks or do you think my account will be fine if I leave it in its original shape?

Well I don't think preexisting exploits are going to be affected. Look at games like Rouge when you had the ability to edit blocks down into planes without them automatically deleting. The fix for that didn't affect those blocks already existing in that project, only the blocks that were made after the update were affected. So I don't think the fix for illegal blocks will have any effect on preexisting content either. But that's just my speculation...
