This suggestion is for a new layout for the projects and games pages...
Games Page
Projects Page
Marketplace Page
As you can see from the screenshots, here are the changes I suggest:
• Merge the Games and Projects tabs
• Add text to the Help tab
• This would allow for more room for filters (seeing filter links take up less space on the page)
• Replace the four game pages with six different filters
* Adds a Contest Winners filter, for the winners of spotlights/competitions
* Separates the Highest Rated page into two categories: Most Played and Most Liked
• Replace the Project Invitations page with a pop-up window similar to the Create Project one
• Add four different filters to the Avatars and Models pages
* Adds a Contest Winners filter, for the winners of spotlights
* Adds two more filters: Most Liked and Most Purchased
* Adds a new system for "liking" avatars/models
• Add search bars to the Projects, Avatars, and Models pages
Pros
• Merging the Projects and Games tabs could unlock something new for KoGaMa; it would finally count building as a part of KoGaMa's gaming experience
• The main toolbar would take up less space
• The Help tab would be more noticeable, and would comply more with the website's overall style
• It would be easier to track down the games you want to play
• The Projects section would take up less space
• It would be easier to track down the models/avatars you want
• It would reward those who have won competitions/spotlights, and would encourage more participation in the future
Cons
• Having Projects and Games under the same tab could be confusing at first
• This would require the modification of the addresses of projects and games (but it was done with profiles in the past, showing that it is possible)
• This would require a new "liking" system for the Marketplace
• This would require the a new system that can add avatars/models/games to different filters when they win a spotlight
Is this a good idea? You decide! Post a response, or vote on the poll! Just be sure to read through all of the above suggestions, because new ones have been added recently.
