This is a very old problem and has existed for as long as I can remember
I don't have a lot of info about this problem, but if you have this problem you cannot remove friends by searching them on the "Find friends" search and pressing the "Friend" button
I didn't have this problem when I first cleaned my friends list and had 200 friends, but now when I have 340 I cannot remove them through the search anymore
This doesn't depend on your device either (I have tried to remove friends on my phone and many other computers but it's impossible on all of them)
This is very problematic for me because I cannot remove people whose username begins with U and over from friends, because the Friends field under the search can only show 300 friends and if the user isn't on that list I can't remove him from friends
