I returned from the outside world to bring you some reviews and insights about our current main website.
To perfect our KoGaMa page and make it professional, I'll give some criticisms about our current pages. Small positioning fixes and things like that.
I wasn't sure if I was supposed to post this on the Bugs or Feedbacks & Suggestions, since they both exist in this thread.
Edit: It's 3:13 AM in the morning. I've put in hours and hours of work to create this thread, so please, if your'e reading this, comment with sightful feedbacks about more bugs that I should add to this thread. Please help this thread push the devs into the healthy direction so that KoGaMa's site is more professional and functioning well.
***Titles in Red are urgent, because they cause functional disabilities to the KoGaMa's site and its content, and should/must be fixed immediately. Titles in Black are visual or quality changes.
1. When Logged off, Clicking on "Build" Tab automatically brings you to the log in screen, that requires you to input your ID and password or create an account.
Feedback: I feel that this page needs a text that explains to the player, "In order to build, you need to create an account or log in first!".
The sudden Front Page -> Login Page after clicking Build just doesn't seem professional. Sure, it makes sense if you think twice, but to players at young age, this will feel rather wonky.
Otherwise the "Build" tab should be not visible in the first place at all to players who are not logged in yet.
2. The badges are positioned in weird ways. Once the badges pile up, they start filling upwards, covering up the avatar itself. Also, the exp and grey bar positioned to be the background for it are covering the avatar's leg areas.
It's clearly visible that the devs just layed a grey bar over the avatar to make the EXP's value be readable.
Feedback: Most alpha players with decent amount of badges have experienced this, but have coped with it.
If badges could be placed beneath our avatar? Also this allows players to take screenshots from their profile picture to get a file of their avatar. It used to be like that, but now the badges are in the way and we are no longer able to do so.
3. Profile Posts need to be specified as statuses, or directed posts toward other players. It is confusing to figure out for whom the comment is designated toward. Currently,
a. When A writes a "What's up?" Status post, B, A's friend, is alerted about A's new status.
b. When A directly write on his friend B's wall, "Write to B" B is alerted about this new post as well.
In this picture, you can see that Soviet first writes a status, then writes a post directly on my wall. As shown below,
It is difficult to distinguish if his posts are directed toward me, since I am able to see all of his Statuses as well as his direct posts on my wall.
This issue could be resolved like this,
4. It is currently impossible for Tourists to go to a person's profile and click on the tab "Leaderboard". It will simply bring him back to the Now Playing Games screen.
Just like the Point made above #2, "Leaderboard" tab should be not visible in the first place at all to players who are not logged in yet.
5. Search bars are completely missing. It is now impossible to search for games or players.
Also, the main site looks ominously empty, and somewhat lacking. The site should be prepared to load Highest Rated, Most Played or Hot New games below to make it look less empty.
Here's my thought on a new design on how the front page should look:
Will update more soon. I see a lot of bugs and page fixes that need to be done still. I apologize for the oversized images, as I take screenshots but I'm unable to resize them according to my will.
