I learned about KoGaMa in 2015, my brother showed it to me. I would very much like to return that time. Maybe there is a way to play the old KoGaMa?

Unfortunately, the old interfaces and other scrapped features and appearances will most likely never come back. However, I'm sure there are always a bunch of pictures videos out there on the internet about it all that you can always look back on!

I remember typing this to some Moderator on discord and he said it would be a funny idea to make kogama on a version older then somewhere between 2012-2015, i think the KoGaMa team might have some backups from 2014 so they would revert it and make a totally other launcher dedicated to that one version. unfortunately i don't find that the case so i guess we can move on from the nostalgia (>人<;)

I've described my personal experience/interpretation of Old KoGaMa to so many people in the past, not sure if some of you can relate to this, but it should be understandable: Old KoGaMa was like "that one vintage pizza place" back at your hometown with red leather booths, brick walls, poor air conditioning, that iconic "pizza place rug" with the picture of the chef and the word "PIZZA" all in caps like that, tall plastic Pepsi cups, etc. New KoGaMa is like that pizza place fully upgraded into a modern pizza place with fancy lights, seating, etc. Old KoGaMa was something unique, I must say. It was almost like playing an old arcade game to some degree, because of the effects such as the skull animation whenever you died, and especially the iconic "death tune" that also played when you died. Then of course movement was stiff and strange. Being able to slap and push each other around was fun too, until people started using Cheat Engine around 2013-2014 and were able to "superslap" each other, causing people including myself to get trapped into pressure plated areas. Yes, I do think that the stiff movement is what made KoGaMa unique at the time, as I remember first playing and thinking to myself like "I've never seen characters move like this in a video game before!" I remember actually wanting the arms to move but after KoGaMa changed that in like late-2012 I was like "o shoot go back." I've seen a lot of activity from the Official KoGaMa Instagram account and I think it's safe to assume that "KoGaMa aimed to be more of a voxel-type game back then." Sort of like how Crossy Road is, in my opinion. It was like a cross between Crossy Road and Minecraft, I guess. And also the fact that you can shape blocks, of course. Many things came out over time that personally I would not want to see Old KoGaMa come back. However, out of all the things I want to come back from the Old KoGaMa days, is the fact that everyone who joined KoGaMa at the time did not find the game just to play. We all joined to create our own games. And now of course many people tell stories of how they found this amazing game through "click game" websites, while I'm here sipping on some tea talking about how I found KoGaMa through by searching on Google for a "3D game maker."

I like your analogy despite being a fervent partisant of the old KoGaMa, this can be also comparable to this : a Ford Mainline from 1954 wouldn't be safe in a crash in 2020, as modern cars have more electronics and equipements, thus more weight (if the 1954 car would collide into the wider and bigger 2020 car the 1954 car driver wouldn't survive (except if there is a miracle) so old cars are less safer and have less but can be still fun and quirky (depending of the model).

The thing I miss about Old KoGaMa is the community. As dumb as it could be, with all its cliques and hierarchies, it was fun. The games were still fun despite their general lack of gameplay compared to what you see today. It seemed like there was something new every day; now, the pages are full of numerous War 4 games, Adopt Me roleplay, and innumerable generic parkour maps with cheap themes. But we had that before: various attempts at a 100 floors/levels challenge, innumerable CubeGun Defenses, thousands upon thousands of team warfare games, and lots of cheap generic parkour maps. Still, the community felt different - more mature despite everyone being in their teens or pre-teens. Maybe it's because I was in that same age bracket at the time? It's just kind of a bummer scrolling through a friends list of ~90 people, remembering playing with them recently, and seeing that they've been signed out for over 7 years. Haha

There is no way back, everything is ruined in kogama. Crappy games, illegal XP Games, Elite, Hack trainers, retextured of color blocks, the community here are also toxic, but really toxic (and let's not ask about the toxic community on the brazil server, with all of these avatars hates comments) and learned things wrong, copy-paste comments and spam comments. I already feel I have no need to stay in the community because it has been ruined, since 2018.
