Lately I've been noticing that a block of water is missing on maps, whether it's for making waterfalls, or for making lakes or water in higher parts of the map where the game's sea level couldn't reach as it would flood parts of the map where it shouldn't.
ABOUT:
The Water Block would be like the other materials in 'Editor' mode or avatar mode, the only difference between it and the other blocks is that this block would be less dense in both situations, having a slight transparency, and having its mass similar to water, so!, When the player comes in contact with the block, he would have the same reaction as being in the water, so he would enter the Animation of being swimming, and sink into the block.
IDEA:
The Block could have a variant of Marine colors to facilitate the creation, such as having the Light Blue colors, which would be a more Tropical and natural water from the Caribbean Seas.
The other color would be Dark Navy Blue, being the natural color of the open sea, symbolizing depth.
Another color would be dark navy green, which could be rivers or streams or lakes.
And Brown, to symbolize dirty water or water that is rotten, to make sewers or mud puddles.
ABOUT THE EFFECT OF THE BLOCK:
I've already been warned that invisible or transparent blocks are kind of difficult to be programmed, so I proposed making it with low density or with the FOG effect, which would be a block with a liquid texture or water, but with a kind of hazy effect, thus, neither transparent nor apparent, but something beautiful and that makes it look Liquified like water.
I've been thinking about it and did a survey with some players on KoGaMa, so I checked and counted on my survey, about 31 players agreed with the idea. Some players claimed that this block would be good for making water puddles on rain maps.
Others have said that it would be good to make bathtubs or Lagos.
They also stated that they would be great for doing waterfalls or things along those lines as well as on water park maps or the like.
That's my idea, unfortunately I didn't know how to make the Block as a demonstration, but I tried to characterize a lot about what it would be.
I hope it works.
