We've all seen these players who say "add me" hundreds of times or those that spam a blank space or an 1 lettered message at the chat.
I am suggesting that if a user posts over a certain amount of messages in a small time period, they should get muted (losing their ability to posts messages in-game) for 1-2 minutes. That way we could reduce that spam.
Also, spamming a game link in the comment section of a game is also annoying. 10 comments by the same user, one after the other could mute them

Also, spamming a game link in the comment section of a game is also annoying. Not only is it annoying, but it is also against the rules. We really need some new anti-spam system to enforce this rule. I agree that the ability to mute users who spam should be implemented. The following behavior is NOT allowed:- Spamming or flooding in the comments.

I understand but how are they gonna know if it's spam or not? someone can accidentally type it twice and they would get muted? I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but what about pressing enter accidentally

Well, as far as I can predict, when you type 10 messages in 10 seconds, it is believed to be spam. It won't be just " If you leave 10 messages on the chatbox, one after the other, you'll get muted" It will be like "x" messages per "x" seconds has a high possibility to be considered a spam, that's why the user that spammed "x" messages in "x" seconds will get muted for a short period of time
