As a returning player from a year or two ago, it seems as though Kogama has devolved. All the top maps are ugly parkour games that hash and rehash the same parkour archetypes. If there's any PVP it's an aside portion of the map consisting of a flat plain with weapons scattered throughout. Someone spent two minutes on that. Every map is a combination of 20 poorly made sections connected by a hub, and not one great unified map. By the way, just because you scattered a bunch of hovercrafts/jetpacks/oculus bots/portals/expensive weaponry around doesn't mean that it is fun.
The leveling system has also caused a good amount of mayhem. The problem stems from restricting basic rights of the player until they reach a certain level. That's dumb. I couldn't publish a map until I grinded enough to get to level 3. Because of the XP regulations, people are heavily discouraged from playing games below 10 players. It's hard enough to get a map started without that kind of discrimination.
The marketplace has become flooded with gold. That's dumb. Why would they make models cost a mandatory 10 gold? And avatars 275?! I know why.
The devs need money. I get that. That's not really something that's gonna change. But I think the quest for money is overpowering right now. Here are some things you could change to make it less overpowering:

- Have models, avatars, and textures available for an amount of silver OR gold.
- Change the leveling system to get rid of the player limit thing AND the XP every so minutes thing. You would get XP by killing players on opposing teams (this would cover PVP), or a lot from getting to flag (this would cover parkour & racing, though you would need to put a good bit of parameters on it like distance from start, time it took to get there... etc.)
- generally move the gold related purchases to stuff like hats and other non-essentials. I have to pay 5 bucks to get the color black.
- Maybe just get rid of leveling entirely...?
