The 2D mode has been disabled and is probably getting fully removed in the future because most people don't like it and almost no one uses it. I don't like it that it's getting removed, but I do understand why it's getting removed. The developers have to put a lot of work in the 2D mode. They have to do everything they do in the 3D mode also in the 2D mode, which gives twice as much work, while almost no one uses it...

Most don't use 2D mode because the project mode is so horrible, even thomas agreed that it was bad. If they could at LEAST give more freedom in project mode, maybe players would give it a second chance. then there's the fact that they broke all the original 2D mode projects we all worked so hard on but we'll save that topic for another day

I could not make a good background or put easter eggs, or move the camera. It was hell to do the logic, it was all together. The weapons were very difficult to put on. I just had to do a second walk, BEAUTIFUL. Which gave a lot more work. And almost nobody played, since the 2D mode had its name dirty. The camera ... Ah, the camera. The camera hub could not solve the positioning. Besides that thing that was in the background simply bothered me more than the lag of my PC trying to run a game on the ultra. Modeling the cubes was also difficult without being able to move. Logics caused lag, why dye to be together. What they could do to solve this and have a limit only that background back, and we could put models in front of the camera, or even blocks to cover the character would be nice. My sincere opinion.

I agree with you, If they give us the same freedom that we have in 3D mode, it would be entirely possible for 2D mode to come. back.

Unfortunately this bogs down to money. We could either spend a ton of money building a proper 2D editor and then it MIGHT be as popular as the 3D one. Or we could spend that same amount of money making features we know will generate revenue.
Fact of the matter is that it was a mistake to work on it in the first place. We have some feature designs that are much more interesting than simply adding a 2D mode

Yes, players rarely use 2D mode to create games. They prefer 3D mode. Game with 2D mode is also rarely a popular game, although there is, but there are only one or two only. However, actually the game with 2D mode is also exciting, challenging, and test the patience.

"We have some feature designs that are much more interesting" So where are these features? You always say there's something cool in the plans but these things never come.
