Most Wanted Features
Hello KoGaMians!I've decided to keep track of what you guys want the most, and to get the best perspective of what that is, I'd like you to write a reply with your top three most wanted features! Once you've posted your reply, I suggest you look at what everyone else has suggested, and give them a like if you agree. Also, don't be afraid to include features I've debunked such as glass, we want to know what you want not what you want within realistic boundries. I'm going to write sticky-notes and post it on a board in the office so the other devs know exactly what you guys want to see the most in KoGaMa. I'll make sure to post a picture on our Twitter in a week or so - Daniel Everland

1: A working search engine like it was several months ago. 2: Customizable weapons and music. 3: More vehicles like the monoplane, cars and maybe submarines. I'ts great to see that you want to listen to the needs of the players I'm looking forward to the things you devs can create.

Three most wanted features? This is a tough one. Personally, I want to see more tools that improve the quality of the project editor. However, I'll limit my suggestions to ideas that other creators would be more likely to use. Complete rotation tool. Currently, we can only rotate on one axis. I'd like to see the ability to rotate on all three coordinate axes. This would most likely mean that the XYZ Move and Rotation would need to become two separate tools. Combining both tools into one UI interface would be difficult and probably confusing to use. Since graphics software split these tools into separate interfaces, it would be understandable if Kogama followed the same example. The benefit to model orientation as well as time convenience benefit (no longer being required to build a duplicate model) would outweigh the potential drawback of learning a new tool interface and accessing it. Material editor. With a limited amount of materials to use, it's easy to argue that creative freedom is restrained. Personally, I would be content with a simple option to adjust the color on a basic texture. This alone can make the aesthetic themes in projects be more creative and lively, thus improving the potential quality of levels. There are several means of implementation, but my personal favorite would be giving players a color picker tool and reserving all special textures and effects (bouncy, castle, etc.) to be purchased before being usable. Barrier/glass feature. Barriers have practical applications in Kogama and would be a convenient tool to use to keep players in designated areas while adding realism to transparent or outlined objects. While there are optimization issues apparent with a formal glass material, there's a viable alternative to enable collision with models through the model enabler. If an option is included in its settings to also enable collision, players can then use models to create barriers, glass, etc. which would be more flexible and efficient than using only hidden pressure pads. If necessary, the model outline would serve as a visible identifier to the player as a collision box. There was also a similar topic here, What do you want to see added to Kogama?, that you can pull some wanted features from. Thank you Daniel for creating this topic and showing an interest in us. (:

I like all of the suggestions that I've seen so far... I know you wanted all suggestions, not just possible ones, but I still felt it necessary to mention the practicality of them. 1. Better RotationI want to be able to rotate any object along the X and Z axises, not just the Y axis. This is something supported by Unity, so I see this as being completely possible; the main issue would be modifying the rotators to work, as they are probably set to rotate around specific axises. 2. Materials EditorI would like to see a materials editor in the near future... I believe this would be somewhat possible; the problem you need to solve is giving the user the ability to take a premade texture, and change the main color of it (which would require that you take some of the existing textures you have, and making them black and white). I believe this is actually a feature within Unity already, you just need to find a way to give us access to it. I'd be content with the ability to work with simple textures, like striped (like the green material), squared (like the black material), and plain (like the blue material). All other textures and physics materials can be saved for premium materials that can be bought with Gold. 3. A Better Paint ToolThis has been proven possible, as it used to be a feature. All I suggest is that you add a second Paint tool that allows us to paint the individual sides of cubes.

Glass block, or something we can use to set invisible barriers into a game;
Customizable NPC, just like a BlockBoy, which we can set to battle using weapons, or to press a near plate, or even to do nothing else than speak with a text message;
Stamp tool, a tool to create sculpture patterns. When you click on her icon, a window would show up containing a 10X10 grid field, where you can build any shape that you feel like (let's say, some bricks). Next, you would be able to save your work (let's call it a stamp) into an inventory tab dedicated to that, and apply it at any model surface. It would be easier to detail a model so we wouldn't need to do a repetitive effort to spread it over the model.

It would nice to see a level adder to the 2D games, like in Sploder or something like that. You could be able to pick before deciding your game information on how many levels you want there to be in your game.
